Why I am stopping Aimovig
I started Aimovig a little over two months ago. It is a self-administered shot that is taken once a month. So far, I have had zero side effects, which is great. However, I haven't noticed much relief for my migraines. Aimovig is supposed to work almost immediately.
There was a lot of hype for this new treatment, so I guess I got my hopes up.
But the numbers of migraines I have had since starting the treatment has increased actually. It hasn't been as bad as a few years ago when I didn't have any treatment, but for me, Aimovig doesn't work as well as the Botox has worked.
So I am going to switch back in a couple of weeks!
Have you tried Aimovig? How was your experience with the treatment?
