Get fluids for them and a small snack since migrainers most often take medicine at the onset of a migraine and they need to take that with a small amount of food and liquids. Some people do better with a bit of caffeine as well, but for others that is a trigger. Knowing which kinds of medicines they need and when can Help. Then you can grab them for them because even moving or even remembering where they are can be difficult for your friend during the onset of a migraine. Knowing your friend's, or housemate's triggers can be helpful, certain foods and smells can make a migraine worse or trigger one. Talk quietly to them and understand that they are in pain and know that at times it is difficult to even form a sentence for them, so don't get frustrated. Also, you can turn off lights and try not to have loud sharp sounds going on near them.
